1. These terms are binding. By using the portal, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and any and all applicable legislation (s) relevant to and governing use of the portal.
2. ASL expressly reserves the right to make changes in these Terms at any time without prior notice you and without any liability to you. ASR does not undertake any obligation or responsibility to update or amend any information on this website. It is incumbent upon you to regularly check these Terms and get acquainted with any changes to these Terms. Your continued use of the portal following any changes to these Terms shall imply your agreement to be bound by these Terms as changed.

1. By use of the portal you expressly agree that your use of the portal is restricted to visiting and viewing the Afrinvestor.com website and to apply for and open a Brokerage Account with its provider Afrinvest Securities Limited for your own personal use.
2. You agree that you shall not duplicate, download, publish, modify or otherwise distribute or disseminate any material whatsoever obtained from the Afrinvestor.com website or the portal for any other purpose whatsoever other than for such personal use.
3. The content and software on the portal is the property of ASL and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws. You must not remove any content or software, or damage, destroy, alter or revise any of the content and software found on the portal.

1. If you violate these Terms including violation of any of the Permitted Uses of the portal in clause 2 herein or violation of any rights of other users of the portal, ASL may and shall terminate your membership on the portal and prevent you from making any further use of the portal including the implementation of a lifetime ban. ASL further reserves the right to take legal action against you should the remedies otherwise stated in this clause 3.1 prove insufficient. Should ASL decide to implement any of the remedies in this clause 3.1 ASL may give you seven (7) days’ notice of its intention to do so and to allow you to provide reasons to ASL as to why such remedies should not be implemented but is not obliged by these Terms to do so.
2. If you materially violate these Terms, in addition to the remedies in clause 3.1 herein, ASL may cancel any or all of your mandates to purchase investments and refund any monies paid by you to purchase such investments (unless you have at that time taken possession of such investments) but would not and is not obliged to provide you with a refund of any prior monies paid by you to purchase investments.
3. You agree that monetary damages may not provide a sufficient remedy to ASL for violations of these Terms and you consent to any injunctive relief for such violations that ASL may conclude is necessary.

ASL is not required to provide any refund or other monetary payment or compensation to you if you are terminated as a member and a user of the Portal because you have violated these Terms other than as provided in clause 3.2 herein.

1. The portal and the ASL website may from time-to-time include links to other websites or services, on the Internet. You acknowledge that ASL does not endorse the content of any external websites nor guarantee the authenticity of documents on the Internet but has no control over the content of or conduct of persons on these external websites and that ASL cannot guarantee, represent or warrant that the content contained on such external websites and the conduct of persons on or responsible for such external websites is accurate, legal, suitable, appropriate or inoffensive.
2. If you choose to link to a website we do not control, we make no warranties, either express or implied, concerning your use of or inability to use such site, the content of such site, including the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability thereof for any particular purpose, nor do we warrant that such site or content is free from any claims of copyright, trademark, or other infringement of the rights of third parties or that such site or content is devoid of viruses or other contamination that can adversely affect your computer, smart-phone, tablet and/or internet facilities in a harmful or destructive manner. You agree that by using the portal you acknowledge and understand that you may not make any claim against ASL for any loss or damage whatsoever resulting from your use of the portal or by accessing any external website linked to the portal of the ASL website.

1. You acknowledge that ASL and the portal is an investments brokerage service which brokers investments exclusively to its members and provides no other service to its members other than such brokerage services.
2. You acknowledge that membership on afrinvestor.com provides you access to the investments brokerage services described in clause 5.1 herein and to no other services.
3. ASL is not a provider of financial advice, financial planning advice or legal advice and does not provide financial advice or recommendations, financial planning advice or recommendations or legal advice. You acknowledge that membership on the portal will not provide you with access to financial advice or recommendations, financial planning advice or recommendations or legal advice.
4. Membership in afrinvestor.com is exclusively for the person named in the ASL brokerage account details and is not transferable to any other person.
5. Membership on the portal is valid for all States in Nigeria
6. Membership on the portal is perpetual, save where terminated by you in writing or by ASL in accordance with these Terms.
7. Membership in afrinvestor.com by you shall allow ASL to contact you via email, telephone, text message and by registered post from time-to-time to advise you of investment opportunities, to advise you of any changes to the portal (including the addition of any other providers) and to provide to you ASL regular newsletter.

1. The works of authorship contained in this Website, including but not limited to all design, text, sound recordings, and images, are owned, except as otherwise expressly stated, by ASL or any of its subsidiaries. Except as otherwise expressly stated herein, they may not be copied, transmitted, displayed, performed, distributed (for compensation or otherwise), licensed, altered, framed, stored for subsequent use, or otherwise used in whole or in part in any manner without the owner’s prior written consent, except to the extent permitted by the Copyright Act Cap C28 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, Patents and Designs Act Cap P2 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and the Trade Marks Act Cap T13 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and then, only with notices of the owner’s proprietary rights. 3. Save for where excluded at law, ASL will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising to you or to other parties from the use of the portal and the ASL website.
4. ASL makes no promise or guarantee of any kind that the services provided to you by your use of the portal and the ASL website shall be specifically the services you require or that such services are suitable to your requirements.
5. ASL disclaims any and all liability for the acts, omissions and conduct of any other users of the portal and the ASL website, including other members. ASL is not responsible for the investments (including the quality and suitability thereof), portal (including the quality and suitability thereof), actions or conduct of any provider.
6. You agree that ASL may plead these Terms and in particular this clause 7 as a complete and full limitation on any liability arising from use by you of the portal.

By use of the portal you expressly waive, forego and disavow any claims, rights, actions, rights to make a demand or any other remedy that you would be entitled to or that would be available to you arising from your use of the portal and the ASL website but for the operation of these Terms. You expressly agree that this clause 8 and these Terms may be pleaded as a bar to any legal action, claim or proceedings brought by or on behalf of you against ASL.
2. You accept that you are solely responsible for the use, maintenance and confidentiality of the unique log-on identification password we allocate to you.
3. You are responsible for using adequate security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the website and shall notify us promptly if you become aware of such access. You will indemnify us against any loss caused by access to the website by any person (except us or our employees or representatives) of user names and passwords issued to you.

1. You agree that the governing law of these Terms is and shall be the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any action against ASL arising from or relating to your access to and use of the Website and the provisions of these Terms and Conditions must be brought by you in the Federal High Court of Nigeria. You consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria for the adjudication of all claims by ASL against you arising from or relating to your access to and use of the Website and the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
2. It is your responsibility to ensure that your afrinvestor.com membership and all ASL account details remain confidential. ASL shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising to you from any failure by you to ensure that your ASL membership and any account details remain confidential.
